What does the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce do?
A Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary membership organization comprised of businesses, professionals and organizations. The Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce represents over 500 businesses in the communities of Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay, Tiny and surrounding areas. We promote and improve the commercial, professional, industrial, agricultural, economic, civic and social well being of the district served by this organization. The Chamber provides open lines of communication amongst our membership through various avenues and serves its membership with many benefits,promotional and networking opportunities.

What types of businesses join the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce?
Membership in the Chamber is drawn from every sector of the economy -- manufacturing, retail, public sector and services -- and includes large and mid-size businesses as well as new, entrepreneurial and home-based enterprises.

What type of sponsorhip opportunities are available?
Throughout the year, the Chamber developes sponsorship opportunities for members which supports the Chamber events.

Is there a fee for joining the Chamber?
Yes. Membership dues are charged annually, based on the type of business and the number of employees. Prorated fees begin in April.

What are the Member to Member Discounts?
The Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce Member to Member Discount Program has been developed to encourage members to offer  benefits or discounts to other Chamber  members.  Participation is free and optional and a great way to meet other members.  Each member of the Chamber will  receive a Membership  business card at their time of renewal to identify themselves to the participating businesses.  It’s a great way to increase your visibility - A list of  companies offering a benefit or discount will be published quarterly in the Chamber Chat newsletter.  If you are interested in participating simply fill out the PARTICIPATION FORM and fax to 705.526.1744 View all Discounts
