 Dawn Owen opened Panache Spa & Academy in 2007 and in the past 2 years, it has seen growth in higher standards and knowledge.  Not only does Dawn support the community, but has focused on developing the first educational training courses in this industry in Southern Georgian Bay.  Dawn has chosen to use the finest of products derived from nature for body and skin care.

Boston Pizza

 Boston Pizza opened in Midland in 2003 and has continuously provided support to charitable organizations in Southern Georgian Bay and local schools.  Boston Pizza has also been recognized as one of the Top 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada.  Boston Pizza offers two experiences under one roof – a casual dining restaurant and a sports bar, in a fun and comfortable environment.

ShopMidland.com

 ShopMidland.com provides an avenue for small and medium owned businesses in Southern Georgian Bay to get their businesses promoted online.  They provide all of the tools, support, and marketing necessary to make getting online easy.  ShopMidland.com originated in Midland in 2000 and has grown across North America.  Their motto is to encourage and facilitate shopping locally.

Ambassador Award
Reinhart Weber

 Reinhart Weber has been a creative force in the Southern Georgian Bay community for 43 years.  Reinhart and his wife created The Weber Foundation in 1997.  That Foundation has contributed almost $10,000,000 to community organizations and projects excluding the most recent project.  The Foundation is the major benefactor of the new Midland Cultural Centre to which the Foundation has committed $7,500,000.  This may be the largest individual donation of its kind in history in Central Ontario.  Reinhart has left his mark on many facets of life in Southern Georgian Bay.  He has shown that one can succeed at the highest levels of business life and also give back to one’s community in significant ways.

New Business Award
Fresh Flowers by Leanne

 Fresh Flowers by Leanne was established in 2010 with the support of family, friends, and the community.  Having practical expectation about how much work is involved in operating a business and exercising excellent customer service, Leanne George has already met their five year goal. With good staff in place, Leanne has the opportunity to volunteer and sponsor other associations and organizations in Southern Georgian Bay.

Derek Friend Law Firm

 Derek Friend Law Firm was founded in 1991.  In addition to operating a demanding firm, Derek Friend and Julia Wallace are active members with a number of associations and organizations in Southern Georgian Bay, and they further contribute and participate in several fundraisers.  Derek is continuously looking for ways to contribute to the community.  Derek Friend Law Firm accepts legal aid certificates and is committed in assisting lower-income individuals in the community with their legal needs.

Rainbow International Restoration & Cleaning Simcoe County

Rainbow International Restoration & Cleaning Simcoe County was established in 2009 during tough economic times and has since increased in growth and staff.  Both Rob and Patti Martin are active members with a number of associations and organizations in Southern Georgian Bay.  Rainbow International Restoration & Cleaning Simcoe County has become a proven contender in the disastrous restoration field.  They have taken a leadership role in embracing the latest equipment and technology for use in rapid structural drying which can reduce over-all repair expenses and contributes less to the landfill site.
